Post by Dave Smith » Thu Jul 10, 2008 10:56 am

So who wants to coordinate the Dutch Oven Cookoff this year?

I would like to put my name in the hat for being a judge. It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

In the past, rummor has it that the judging positions have been "auctioned off" by the guy in charge of the DO Cookoff... Odds are that Roger has done quite well... It makes for a tough competition...

Sounds to me like a job for Counselor Crane! Being that he is a close personal friend, I expect I'm a shoe in to be a judge :D

The only way I'd do it is if BOTH Gordon AND ROGER entered the contest and cooked... AND, you guys may recall that when I am in charge many rules go out the window. First, I don't care if stuff is made ready for assembly before folks get to the site. Second, you'd have Breakfast, Dinner, and Desert catagories. Third, past that, if it's ready on time to feed the judges, it gets judged. That sums up the rules... no holds barred, but no kicking, scratching, or biting the judges!! AND, no bitchin' on the results!! So, if you want it... get it on!!

Hold on now, Pard. We still don't have any firm commitment from Buttload!! I'd even lend him my DO... so he has no excuse!! Come on, Gordon... You in?
