Chainsaw Jungle lives up to it's name
The massive logjam at the Chainsaw Jungle rapid on the Mulberry River has been sawed up as much as possible. Hopefully the next rise in the river will flush the chunks out harmlessly. Thanks go to the Forest Service with an assist from Turner Bend folks. bw

Sorry I have been out of pocket over here in Georgia dealing with my mother's estate, but I'll volunteer in the future as both my chainsaws are out of the shop and ready to go.

Having portaged around that mess several times this year I recognize the massive undertaking it must have been to clear it out.
Although I know many of the folks at Turner Bend and will certainly thank them in person the next time I'm up there for their hard work in these matters that benefit those who paddle the Mulberry, I'm much less familiar with the Forest Service personnel in the area. I hope they also recognize. through reading this board or individual relationships, that their efforts are greatly appreciated by ACC members.

Thanks for doing the hard and dangerous work! Thousands will use the river, never suspecting the effort that it took to make it passable. Those of us who worship in the house of River know and appreciate.
