Hi all. My friend Kelly Farrell told me about this bulletin board. I am an art historian performing research on an oil painting that may depict a scene in the Fall Creek area. Due to confidentiality restrictions, I am unable to share an image of the work on this board. However, I would kindly ask that anybody who has great familiarity with that region to contact me privately. Thank you for any input you may be able to offer. And on another note --- I bought my first canoe 2 months ago, so I'm glad to have registered on this site!

Thank you

Jennifer- Welcome to the message board!
I've only run Fall Creek one time @ 20 years ago, so I won't be much help to you ,but there are a few boaters around here that have run it several times. Not sure how recently though. It is a very unique little creek. " threes and trees" is a great description. I hope when your work is finished, you'll be able to post the picture. Good luck with your project. It sounds very interesting.-M-

Hi Jennifer,
I would also like to welcome you to the board! I hope you will enjoy your new canoe. Fall Creek isn't one I have had any experience with but quite a few people here have and are always glad to help if possible, best of luck with your research.
The main reason I am chiming-in is to ask you to tell Kelly hello, it has been way too many years since she last joined us in any lake and river trips and we miss her. I wondered if Kelly still had a kayak and still paddled some. When the weather warms next Spring, you are welcome to join us on the Caddo, and Kelly too :D

Best Regards
Jim

Just a quick note.
Fall creek is not the same as Falling Water Creek.
I believe she was wanting Fall creek, near Strickler AR.....
