I've posted the next installment of our Pecos River search story; in this chapter, Dan and I shift our focus from the river to Lake Amistad and the giant canebrakes that made their way to the impoundment after the flood. We'd never heard of canebrakes until we started floating rivers like the Devils and the Pecos, but we were about to learn a whole lot more about them than we wanted to. I've really enjoyed keeping up with this story! Again, I can't wait to see how it ends. Sounds like this would have been an awesome use of a drone with a camera. - M-
