Hi all,
My son and I have done quite a bit of kayaking and my wife just a bit, but it has been mainly on the Buffalo (all parts). My question is what level's are a good level and what is a good section to start with? I am looking at the section from CCO to HWY 65 seems an easy way to self shuttle. And any other information that you would like to volunteer for Cadron is good too. Thanks in advanced everyone.

Good starter creek though I remember there being some wood in play at a couple of the spots according to others. On weekends, put in at CCO and on weekdays, leave vehicle parked at the gate (do not block gate) near the bridge at Pinnacle Springs and drag down.
At the bottom of the trail/road, turn right and follow to sand beach for best launch spot. Underneath the bridge is not the best place for launching boats (except for alligator entries).
Hope this helps.

It helps thank you, do you think it is more difficult then the section on the Buffalo from Boxley to Ponca?

Cadron is a little easier than Boxley.

The recommended levels are 2 - 5 feet with less than 2.5 getting bony and when you get near 5 or a little past the play features are washed out. I floated the CCO to 65 section about 10 days ago and there was no wood to speak of that required serious attention. Pretty good chance it will be a good float this weekend.

Great thanks for the info guys, I am going to give it a shot since it is only 45 minutes from the house. Although with this rain looks like Boxley might be good to do as well. Decisions blah.. might come down to how much time I have.
