Paddle Claw

I made this a while back to carry in my pin kit in case I needed an extra reach. I call mine the Paddle Claw and I've seen other variants of this device. It's very lightweight and small, but could come in handy. I know that you can do nearly the same with duct tape, but a little boredom at home will have you making all kinds of random stuff. I might try and make more to bring to WW school if anyone wants one...or I could tell you how to do it.

Nice! Very creative. If that thing ever unpins my boat, beers are on me!

Clay,

all jokes aside, your solution is a good thing to have and it looks like the price is right.

Cannot remember the details but some years ago there was a commercial version of your device going around.

Looked interesting but the price was way more than it should be and I think it went away.

Your setup looks like something that could be cheaply made from stuff laying around the home workshop and not that heavy to stick in the back of a kayak canoe etc.

Also, over the years, I have seen several situations where this device would have really come in handy to cover that last few feet of a rescue.

Good work on your part!

Make a few if the club has a gear sale. I would buy one. I didn't see the price. :eh:
