Anyone know if the corps of engineers closures will affect being able to float the White River below the dam this weekend?

Depending on where you floating, you should be able to find some accesses since there some of these are public. Good luck.

I'm told, but cannot confirm that you can still launch below Bull Shoals dam, because it is a state park. We'll see Thursday when we get there. Definitely not so below Norfork, a COE facility where they have barricaded the gate at the road into the park. You might want to hedge your plans by calling one of the area trout docks, fly shops or fishing guide services. Our kayaks are loaded. One way or another, we're fishing anyway. rob

Went to Turner Bend this morning to buy the only Royalex boat they had for sale and was told that any USFS campgrounds or access points on the river that had a gate are closed.
I have'nt seen any trailer loads of ATV's in a few days in Mena so I assume the Wolf Pen(Ouchitas) trail system is closed as well.
