Somewhere along the Buffalo is going to be your best bet. The lower end is pretty slow in the summer, but still very pretty. Even near summer's lowest lows, you can still float (not drag) below Rush, and the trip from there to the White is long enough that you would want to take at least two days, if not three for the trip.

I second Mr. C's suggestion and add the Current. It's class I, but it always flows and it's stunningly beautiful with lots to see and do on and off the river. It's also an excellent float camping stream with one caveat. This time of year I'd stick to week days. Otherwise you'll be constantly besieged by river dorks. :hammer2:

Also consider the Eleven Point, Greer to Riverton - 20 miles. It's 45 minutes north of Mammoth Springs across MO line.

Keep an eye on the kings river berryville guage. If we keep getting some showers here and there it might stay floatable through june. Look for 3.5 and higher on berryville guage. several good overnight sections and less crowds than buff.

Buffalo, of course, but love the Kings. Great spots on the Marble to Marshall Ford and Marshall Ford to Rockhouse sections. There's a great spot across from Kings River Bluff overlook on the Marshall Ford to Rockhouse section.
