Caddo Tomorrow? 4/13/13

Post by AR-Nimrod » Fri Apr 12, 2013 7:43 am

Am in need of a good paddling. :kayak: Anyone interested in running the Caddo tomorrow; Sat. April 13th. I am open as to section and time (not too early) to run. However, I am leaning toward either the Narrows or AGFC landing down to Glenwood or Glenwood down to Amity. Felicia may :crossed: or may not come and poor Hannah  has an ACT test tomorrow. So you'll probably have to put up with just me. :eh:

No HHH and no Felicia????? :wht: Sounds dubious. :poke2: However, in spite of my better judgment I am very interested in joining you provided you don't mind fishing me out of the river in case I didn't do as good a job outfitting my new solo boat as I'd hoped. I'll have to check with Mrs. Deuce of course. Stand by.
You come too.

We'll wait a little while today to see if anyone else chimes in. We'll meet in Glenwood either under the bridge or at the landing behind the cemetary after we decide which section to run. Gonna watch the levels a bit today. I think we're good for both but let's see.

I believe I will join you tomorrow. :myday"

Great! The dude from Dogtown would be honored for you and the Prodigy to accompany him tomorrow. He'll even clean out the Expedition so you actually have somewhere to sit. :wht: As for the cost of gas, I've never been to the Caddo and have need of a navigational consultant anyway. However, I must warn you. Running around with a scruffy open boater will do nothing good for your reputation! :canoe:

Dear Dude,

Would you want me to meet at your house or pick me up in Jacksonville, its very easy to get here, just 1 right turn and one left turn.

Navagation: I think I could get us through Hot Springs without hitting any bikers or old ladies but I should be hearing from Moose Krueger when he gets home tonight. Perhaps we can convoy with him.

I do not need much leg room, however, I do need a wide space.

You've never been to the caddo? Muwhahahahaha!!! Bring dry clothes.

As for being a scruffy open boater, I have you beat as I'm working on the old codger part of my life. :myday" Kayakers are pretty lenient anyway so don't worry about your open boat.

OK. Felicia says she's coming. However, there is a caveat. I have to take her to the Rocky Mountain Grill after we get off the river. Weeelllll OK! I can handle that.

Hello Caddoites :D ,

I have been down at my farm near Arkadelphia camping, and working for the last several weeks sans computer, but see the various posts this evening when I got home. Marlo and I are up to a trip tomorrow, and would be pleased to join you. The Caddo should be around 6.30ft. in the morning, which should be a pretty nice float from the Narrows to Glenwood. If it would be OK, I would suggest a NLT meeting time of 11 a.m. under the Glenwood bridge (downstream side) to meet, and shuttle. I'll check back later this evening to see what everyone's preferences are. Rocky Mtn. Grill will be just fine afterwards!!

Best Regards
jim

I was gonna suggest 10:30 but, 11:00 works if that is the consensus.
