Hey fellow friends and paddlers,
A good friend of mine had his Green Two Brothers Arkota canoe stolen from him last night in Fayetteville. There have not been many of the 16' Green Arkotas made, so this canoe will hopefully stand out and show up and rightfully be returned to its owner. Everyone please keep an eye out, especially if you live anywhere near northwest AR. Thanks for your help-

Let's get this back up top again. I appreciate all the effort thus far and so does my buddy.
Thanks again and happy paddling-

Any distinguishing marks? Special decals or rigging?

Not really - he has a few d-rings installed on the inside of the hull. It's a relatively unique canoe, TBC has not made many of the green Arkota. He does have the serial number but I didn't think it would be necessary to post that on here at this point.

I'll keep an eye out for it on Buffalo this weekend (and for any other river I float for that matter), but with the colder weather I am really hoping to own that river this weekend.

I say, and I intend it emphatically, let the river be.

D-rings inside the hull? That can help. No, wasn't going to ask for a serial on here. If I happen across a green Arkota for sale, I may just PM a link anyway without asking the serial. I'd hate to tip the thief or receiver and have it go back underground after it first surfaces.

Unfortunately the stolen green two brothers arkota has not been discovered/found. Please keep your eyes peeled. The one thing we have going for us is the fact that there have not been that many green arkotas made.
Thanks for the help,

I've made 15 green Arkota canoes- 10 are at a Livery, one is in my shop, one a friend ownes, so that narrows it down to 3 boats out there.

Back to the front page before the weekend. I did find a CL ad for Arkotas, but turns out he came by them legit. Some guy in Avoca.

Almost a month since the last bump to the front page and as far as I am aware, the green Arkota has not yet been recovered. Please keep your eyes peeled on the water and in the newspaper and online ads.
It also occurs to me that thefts of canoes and kayaks are quite frequent around the state. I suggest that a sticky post be placed at the top of the forums collating the known boats stolen so that they are easier to find than searching back through all of the forums? I hates me some boat thieves having been a victim myself. I would love to see some positive news of recoveries and possible prosecutions.

The stolen green Two Brothers Arkota is still at large. Thanks to those that have bumped this thread and everyone for keeping a look out. It almost seems like a lost cause, but if we keep our eyes peeled maybe it will resurface. I'll be on the lookout this weekend, please do the same.
Thanks and everybody have a great weekend paddling!
