Central Chapter 1st annual spring picnic, Tuesday evening

Post by Tim Eubanks » Fri Apr 20, 2012 8:39 am

We'll meet at the pavillion at Alsopp park in Little Rock (roughly at Cedar Hill Rd and Cantrell) Tuesday after work (5:30 ish?). Chapter is providing grub(WholeHogBBQ) and we'll have a screening of "The Canoe Movie". Bring your favorite beverage(s)(adult beverages OK) and enjoy! (Is it a picnic if it's in the evening?)
The "meeting" portion will consist of one announcement.
If you want dessert, bring it!
Oh, there are picnic tables there, bring a chair if you want back support.

Sweet. Sounds like fun. If I am not working late, I should be able to make it. Been a while since I've made a meetig due to my new work schedule. See you there.

Cool! That's a nice new annual tradition! I'll be there!

They have been known to show up from time to time.

The projector will be available if you have some video or pic's you'd like to show. You'll have to bring your own laptop. I will have a portable DVD player.

Feel free to bring gear you're trying to sell or trade as well.

Nope. You fall in the classification of whippersnapper! :poke2:

Cool. There will likely be a nine year old there then. She's a whippersnapper, and one of her nicknames is snapperhead.
You come too.

First edition ACC caps are in and will be available for purchase at the picnic. Cash on the barrel head, please.

Okay, I want to know how many people know what cash on the barrel head means, and it doesn't count if you googled it. (I have, so now I know, but I want to know how many others already knew!)

One of my co-workers who has daughters that play softball in that area said parking could be an issue, so it might be better to get there early. He said the games start at 5:30 pm. He didn't think people parked in the pavillion area, but mostly on the street going in (Cedar Hill maybe). Anyhow I thought I would give a heads up. There's also nice trails if anyone is up for a hike beforehand. I get off around 4:15 - 4:30 so I will probably go straight there.
