Got a new gopro and working on some editing. Guess I'll need to use YouTube or Vimeo to post it. Is it illegal on both to use copyrighted music if you include them in credits at the end. For instance I dubbed in some grateful dead on a video. If I post it to one of these will I have to post one without the Dead tunes or what?

Youtube has muted my videos with or without credits...Vimeo has never done so!

Thanks Jeff. That's what I hear. Looks like I'm gonna have to pay for a Vimeo account due to size or make my video smaller.

Mike,

I had to change some settings when I saved a movie for Vimeo. It cut the download time from 6 hours to one hour so I would guess it cut the file size at that ratio as well.

Here is a link to the recommended settings

http://vimeo.com/help/compression" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
