Buffalo River Monster/Richland Creek Catfish Monster Thing

Hello paddlers,
I'm a professor at UCA seeking info (stories, rumors, folklore, sightings, whatever) on the legendary Buffalo River Monster, which sounds a lot like the Richland Creek Creature. It might've also been called "The Creature in the Hole." Supposedly this half-man half-catfish critter used to terrorize campers and picknickers back in the 1800s and early twentieth century. Some say it lived in Hemmed-in Hollow. Anyone know anything? I'll take anything, even total b.s.
Thanks, Mark Spitzer

Kingston Monster:

River Monster???
Big Ryan's facebook pics might meet that criteria
OR
when I have too much "FIRE WATER", strip down naked, and start howling at the moon!!!

The only thing I ever saw was an Alligator in the Illinois river that came right up next to my boat. First crap I ever took in my boat :shifty: ARK 59 canoe guy Laughed at me for thinking I saw an Alligator; a year later it was in the news!! "ALLIGATOR SPOTTED IN ILLINOIS" But I live out in that direction and NO I have never Seen any GHOST, GOBLINS, UFOs, ALIENS, or BOOGY MONSTERS, maybe Illegal Aliens

Every time that I'm absolutely sure that our camp is being stalked by a 450lbs black bear/man-Gar it turns out to be a few stinkadillos foraging.

wait for an ARG member to see this. I'm sure they've paddled with him and possibly dated his sister.

hunt down Cadron Boy..aka Dr John Svendsen in LR. Used to have a FBook page. He grew up close to the river and knows/reads lots about it.

GarProf, If I can remember, I will ask Ken Smith.
