Spend a few days cooling off on the White River

Post by Richard » Mon Jun 06, 2011 10:46 am

IT IS HOT ! ! ! !

I would like to spend some time on the White River within the next few weeks.
Cotter to Allison. 60 miles.
The river should have a very good flow since the lakes are much above normal. It also means that the river will be colder than normal . . . assuming they only release water through the generators.
We will meet at the Angler's Resort in Allison, combine boats and gear onto one vehicle, leave a vehicle at Anglers and drive to Cotter. We will spend 3-4 days on the river. No set schedule.
If you are interested post here or PM or email me.
Thanks,
Richard

We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.

Richard, I'm envious. Take a pic or two and post a report so I can cool off via the internet.

Sounds like a solid plan. I grew up camping at Boswell Shoals and fishing that part of the river in a john boat with my dad, brother, uncles, cousins, grandfather, et al and love it very much. In fact, if I remember correctly my photo was taken at a BS campsite. Unfortunately this is the time of year when my girls expect me to take them to the lake with the big boat so it's unlikely I'll be able to horn in. Sigh....
You come too.
