Meals at Whitewater School

Post by Michele Jackson » Mon Apr 18, 2011 7:03 pm

On Sunday morning of Whitewater School the River Valley chapter will host the annual pancake breakfast. It's a great deal at $5 per person and includes all you can eat: pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice. Serving begins at around 6:30.

Is the NW chapter doing the fish fry again on Saturday night?

Has been for the last few years. Sure someone will chime in for the fishcooker! Almost didn't happen one year, but there he was! And during the big washout that year? Hot meal for all! Keep your fingers crossed!

Menu for breakfast has to be written, and read, very carefully.....

All you can eat pancakes...

Sausage, Coffee & Juice

(Don't worry, You'll get your RDA of Sassiges)

The fish fry on Saturday has become my favorite part of Canoe School! Unbelievable food when I'm tired, wet and hungry!

Is there anything going on Friday night?!?!?

So, Friday night, Saturday morning and lunches are all we need to worry about? We might set up an sausage-eggs-and-tortillas station again at the far pavillion... Anyone anterested in pitching in??

Catfish and hushpuppies time again! I plan on being there in a kitchen-supervisory / cook-beer-supplier / hushpuppy-tester role again this year.

Don't underestimate what I can do with one arm. I get my staples and stitches out Thursday before canoe school.

Fish, you might have to actually hold my beer for me this year.

That ain't enough "cook sauce" to hold the Giant through,
and nobody but Walter is tall enough to refill the hat.

Sorry I haven't chimed in till now. But to reaffirm what has been said,
Yes fishfry is ON like DonkeyKong.

HAD you attended your meetings.......you would have known that we are attempting
to hold the cost to the same as last year, $10.00 per plate.
Wholesale cost on catfish is almost double last years price due to a shortage in the market.

Only with a generous donation of chicken from Tyson (via Victor) are we able to offer the
meal at the same price as last year.
