Lee Creek Monday 5pm

Post by iYak » Mon Apr 11, 2011 1:40 pm

Lee Creek is over 8 feet on the gauge...I should be there around 5:00.

Give me a call if you want to meet and shuttle.

Yesterday was a nice day on Lee Creek. Level was ~8'. It was me and my son Max, and Jason. Max was surfing more than his usual and getting brave, then he wanted to take the lead going into the ledges. The waves and holes were a lot bigger than he had anticipated and the first one had him straight up on his tail end, then he flipped. He made a quick roll up just in time to hit the second big hole and flipped again. Rolled back up with a wide eyed smile on his face. He said it was his best day kayaking ever :D

He might be catching the sickness that consumes us all.

Watch out, before long he'll be 25 and sleeping on your couch because he spent all of his time and money kayaking all spring, summer, and fall... instead of saving, or planning for his future.. Trust me, I know.
Smile, summer run-off is coming!!!
