I wonder if it will? It would be a beautiful day on the river! Any thoughts?

Weather forecast says it won't get above 35 until Thursday; that will probably not support melting at the rate we would need to get in a good run. At least we have a couple of days to watch the trend; if I'm wrong there should still be plenty of time to load the boats.

The last time I think it was a combination of rain and snow. It basically just took longer to drop out. It would probably take a lot of snow to get it to run on snow melt alone.

It would need a lot of snow + rapid snow melt.

It seems like since I have moved here from Dallas in June the DFW has had more WW than Arkansas.

I have made many runs from snowmelt over the years down at the Tot and up on Richland creek, sure would be nice! Don't think there is enough snow at the Tot for it to happen, but it will put some moisture in the ground, which is a good thing! My rain gauge is completely full so when it melts I'll see how much water is in the snow, I know it won't be much. The snow sure is Nice!

Doesn't like 1/2 inch of rain equal about 6 inches of snow.

I think it's more like ten inches of snow equals one inch of rain all things considered equal. Moisture content in the air mass that produces the snow has some bearing on it, i.e., the drier the snow, the more required to equal the one inch of precipitation.

You were in the ballpark, panic guy!

The other valid question in that equation is how fast did it melt... 1/2 inch of runnoff over 3 hours ain't much, BUT if it all melts in an hr....

Not all the snow is on the rocks or in the feeder creek beds meaning it goes into the ground first. But you got all sorts of parameters to consider obviously.
