New to me shuttle vehicle

Post by Eric Esche » Thu Oct 07, 2010 5:22 pm

I can now announce that I have wheels again, and a 4 place red canoe trailer to go with them. New to me shuttle vehicle is a 2005 charcoal grey Nissan Pathfinder. Trailer is from Ozark Mountain Trading company and I had to keep looking back to see it was there on the way home, as it is vibration free. Pathfinder has the third row seating, so it will fit 3.5 tandem crews with seat belts and seats. How many bodies we can cram in it has yet to be determined. Eventually, I will get my old roof racks worked out with Thule adapters or TR1 tracks like I did on the suburban, and be able to carry two canoes on top, but that will go slowly as I weigh the costs and wait on more money to find it's way into my "gas, toy, and beer fund".

Figured I better say something or folks might report my boats stolen if they see them on a car without an orange noodle on the front rack.

ps : If anyone is in need of something from the old 1989 shuttle Suburban, look in the "For sale or trade" section and make an offer. You might get something for reuse and keep it from being crushed. Rest of it is going to the kidney foundation.

Given that the old "blue baby" has been a part of more shuttles than I can remember to count... and that is only the ones I was there for... I would be happy to contribute a bit to get the fund rolling for Nissan rack adjustments.
You sure this is on the right channel?

Add me to the list of contributors.

No no no. Wrong idea - Contributors were to be those who wanted something good off of the carcass before it was to go to the crushing machine. Looks like it will now be a transplant donor instead to keep a fellow paddler's Suburban still going and all those new parts will be reused along with many of the old ones. And my gas, toy and beer fund may get some funding in the process. (now there is this big water raft I've been looking at if anyone is looking to go partners......)
