Trip Report - Bois Brule River in WI
Trip Report - Bois Brule River in WI
Just wanted to pass on the info. My wife and I were up visiting our son in NW Wisconsin last week, and he took us out to the Bois Brule river south of Superior. We did 16 miles from Stone's Bridge to Highway 2. Abut 14 miles of wich was nice fairly flatwater paddling and wonderfully beutifull. The river is a cold trout river and quite popular on the weekends. Water level was low but fine for a nice paddle. The last 2-3 miles includes some nice Class II stuff that was a blast also. If you're up in the area check it out. There's a outfitter in Brule, WI right on Highway 2. While we were up there, we also did about 20 miles on the Namekegon, around Hayward, WI. A good outfitter in Hayward helped us out there. A nice river also. All Class 1.

Pics, Please?
I've never been that far north, but I'll bet that it is beautiful. I'll add that to my bucket list.

Yep - that's the same place - most of those pics look familiar. If you're intereseted in doing more "interesting" stuff, go further north than Highway 2, apparently there's quite a bit of nice class II+ and some III stuff up there.
