Big Water Richland, Fri 6-11

Arrived at Richland 11am, Discovered I'd left my canoe paddles at home, but that didn't matter because the putin bridge was 5-6 feet under water. Hung out while Lance, Cole, Marc Becker showed up. We ran over to Falling Water Falls where there was just enough water for Marc, Cole, and Lance to huck the falls. Back to Richland, where the water had dropped but there were trees across the bridge, that we eventually cut out, after borrowing a neighbors chainsaw, and Joe Vanderpool helping get said chainsaw unstuck from the log. Finally putin at 4pm. By this time, Bob Brewer and Johhna showed up, so we had Lance and Cole shredding, Bob in C1, Marc in K1, and I oared the Super Puma with Johhna as my passenger. Putin level was above 0in airspace. The sequence of Roadblock, 1st crack, Green Rock, and Rattlesnake, was almost continous and Hard. Knucklebuster was the easiest rapid all day. All did well, off the creek by 6pm, putin had 6in airspace by the time we got back, so it'll still run tomorrow. Forgot that Jeremy and (another) Cole caught up with us at Lunchcounter, so we had 4 kayaks, my canoe and 2 rafts, and 9 people in Pam's truck on the way out. Dale
