Wooden flume damaged on the Ocoee April 28th

In the past, a broken flume has always meant more boating hours. At the very least, there should be no reason not to release according to the previously published schedule.
To repair the flume, whenever they run the upstream generators, there will be water in the Ocoee, because they no longer have the "option" of bypassing the river bed by running water through the flume to the power house.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get it repaired. There may be a limited number of folks who know how to work with wood to the original specifications.
