This is the most effective help I have seen for Haiti so far. If you have watched the news, TENTS are in high demand. For $39 you can get two 7x7 poly tents to Haiti. Poly is much better than nylon. It doesn't cost you much but it will make a world of difference to people living under sheets. Ordering is simple on line.

This is a 7' x 7' tent that is waterproof, easy to set-up, and that will provide shelter for 4 adults, or a family of 6 with small children. Fiberglass pole set and 150T poly fabric will ensure this tent will last through the year, or until more permanent housing can be reestablished in Haiti.
Rescue Task Force, an International Disaster Relief Agency based in Carlsbad, Ca., has crews on the ground in Haiti right now, that will ensure the tents are used where they are needed most. I just received this from Jeff Basford, President of Paha Que. I have been trying to coax him to the Buffalo for a couple of years now. Very nice guy. Highlighting is mine.

So far we are working on over 1600 tents - that's almost 9600 people who will be sheltered. We expect all the tents to ship by early next week via air-freight. We have received donations from Google, The Soco Group, Royal Carribean Cruise Line, and numerous smaller companies and individuals like yourself. We have partnered with Rescue Task Force, and City Team Ministries, who both have teams in Haiti that will make
sure the tents end up where they are needed, and not on the black market.

We are excited about how well this has gone.
