seat back

What are some opinions on a canoe with seat backs?
I've never been in one with them.
Are they comfy? In the way? A good idea or not?
Thanks

They are great, ZR1!

But you might make sure your seatbacks are not permanent, meaning you can remove them for transport, and for sure that the backs fold down.

I've seen many a canoe tossed due to a low-hanging branch or something grabbing a seatback in the upright and unlocked position! Plus if it is bad enough, that will damage your canoe seats and more!

I've got a couple of Crazy Creek chairs that I like.

This is their website, but you may be able to find them cheaper elsewhere.
