Folks, especially all my fellow NW Chapter members, we need your presence this evening. Numbers speak loudly on issues like this and it is our responsibility to protect our local creek from this threat. Even if you don't want to say a word while you are there, just letting these interests know how many people they are up against is still worthwhile.
Last night in Alma we didn't get to speak publicly, but it is still of great value to fill out the comment forms and speak your thoughts to the court reporter who will transcribe and file them.
Every time the creek comes up, the parking lot there is full of our vehicles. I see no reason why we can't do the same tonight to help save our local run.
Dave Robertson had a good idea I think. Since we don't get to speak publicly, perhaps some identifyng clothing, buttons or such so the folks signing you in at the door are aware of your lack of support for flooding the valley with a dam. We did this a few years ago when the West Fork of the White was at risk from a proposed land fill and it said a lot to see a large room full of folks each wearing a small tag that identified their position. By the way, we won that one!
Come out tonight and just be there to support this.
The meeting is tonight (10/27) from 6-8 pm, as Debbie mentioned earlier,
any time you show or leave during that time is fine, just show up.
Here is the location again:
