Sorry, but this year's PADDLE FOR THE CURE cannot happen due to dangerous water levels and current. I have been advised by the Coast Guard to call it off. We will resume next year!!!!! Some of us are meeting at Loca Luna at 10ish for Bloody Mary's though! Please join!

Re: PADDLE FOR THE CURE POSTPONED
Even if the water's too high to paddle or row on Saturday, the Arkansas Boathouse Club will still be putting on breakfast for all paddlers, 3-mile-men and shuttle drivers who would care to stop by, visit, and see the rowing club facility and yard full of skinny boats! We'll be there from about 7:30 a.m. until a good while after the race! The facility is at the boat-ramp just below the Interstate Bridge on the NLR side (river left). You'll be welcome!!

Pam,
That's probably a good call. Last weekend, even before the latest slug of rain we had this week, we rode from The Ark. Boathouse up the NLR trail to Cooks Landing, and 'eyeballing' the river from the bike trail, it made me uneasy thinking of the paddling prospects
Larry, you're a prince of a guy to organize a reception at the club house!
B.T.W. we parked at the boathouse and I had a chance to gawk at the latest collection of shells you all now have. From the initial reception you had until now, I'd say there seem like two or three longer boats and several smaller one's that have been added to the fleet.
Best Regards
Jim
