Harlan,

I watched it for the 1st time lastnight after missing it so many other times and was I was impressed by the show. I had heard mixed reviews about it, but it was very interesting and made me feel like I was at home for about an hour :D. Will be ordering the DVD for sure.....it had alot of info on about the history of the river most of which I had no clue about.

YES, The "Buffalo Flows" DVD is very good. Susan and I bought 4 copies and have sent them to friends on the east coast and still watch it when we can when it comes on. (We did keep a copy for ourselves to show to house guests) Her old roomate from college and her husband came to see us in July because of the DVD and we took them on a Buffalo trip.

And they want to come back, and are telling our other friends back east to come.

Susan went through the ORGT tandem and solo canoe schools at Georgia Tech with Nanette. And Nanette still keeps going "OH WOW!" when she goes around a new bend of the river. Have to add a Puerto Rican accent to appreciate that last. She talked Susan into going on her first horseback ride and Susan wound up buying two horses and getting in to trail riding, Dressage, and 3 day eventing for 15 years. Susan talked her into rafting on the Chattooga and the Gaulley with ORGT, and Nanette hopes to get her husband to go there someday. She keeps telling Gene when he asks what it is like, that it is where I proposed to Susan at the put-in - it is THAT good.

Probably asking too much to get Gene to go with us for a 30th wedding anniversary trip down the Colorado. We did our delayed honeymoon in Hollowforms from Lee's Ferry to Diamond Creek.
