Boatball Saturday 8-30

We had 5 people interested in boatball Saturday after 2 pm. Beaver Lake was mentioned as a location on a previous thread. If you want to play please post a reply so we can determine if we have a quorum. Then we can pick a specific location. Does anyone know more details of the water quality event on Beaver?

Secchi Day is being held out at the Praire Creek from what I understand.

4th Annual Secchi Day is Aug. 29, 2009
The 4th annual Secchi Day on Beaver Lake will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at the East & West Shelters at Prairie Creek on Beaver Lake. Teams in boats will become citizen scientists as they depart from four launch sites to collect water samples and record Secchi depths (clarity measurements) at 35 sites throughout the lake. In addition, we will have a children's tent and we will feed people lunch. In a new twist this year, individuals will be invited to pre-register to build their own rain barrels. I'll be there by 2:15 at the latest. My vote is the day use area at Hickory Creek but I'll go anywhere. Prairie Creek may have a nice boatball area, too. I haven't been there in years.

8/29/2009 Prairie creek at 2:00 pm will work for me if this will be the event they are having on Beaver Lake. It would be good for the club, just need people to come

The activities/exhibits portion of the event will be held at the Prairie Creek Marina, East & West Shelters.

location of Prarie creek. The park is north from hwy 12 east of Rogers.
Look for sign on left just past Tony C's. Across from the Arrowhead boats dealership. If you are headed east on 12 and you cross the lake you went too far. Quite a bit too far.
