Hole in a plastic canoe. Any Suggestions?

Post by daxhaltom » Tue Apr 21, 2009 10:24 pm

I took my canoe down the frog yesterday and came out with a golf ball sized hole in the front and a crack under the back seat. I have repaired it before with fiberglass but this hole is much bigger. I would appreciate any ideas if you have one. Thanks

I'm not up on my plastics, but we have some experts who will probably weigh in. It would probably help them to know some more details - boat model for example, so that they can know whethr we're talking about an ABS boat, linear plastic, or ??? I think there are some pretty good epoxies now that would maybe flex with the boat a little more than the classic fiberglass style repair...
