Thinking of heading to the Tot tomorrow...

Post by Ben Rodda » Fri Mar 13, 2009 6:03 pm

I am new to Arkansas and need to get in my boat. Will it be hard to find people to hook up with and set up shuttle etc?

I live in Eureka Springs and could hook up with folks in fayetville to carpool down or just meet people somewhere near the Cossatot

Thanks,

ben

'Tot will be infested tomorrow - in a good way. No problem hooking up with boaters to paddle, shuttle, or no-telling-what.
Let there be rain!

Right on... when are people generally trying to get on the river there (do people put on early or later on?)... I will be driving from eureka springs, I think it will take me about 3.5 hours to get there. So do I need to shoot to be at the put in or take out at a certain time?

If you are at the Falls Campground by 10:30 you should be able to hook up with someone. Most people run from Ed Banks to the Falls, but some may run all the way down to hwy 4 depending on the level.

I think you might want to factor in some more time. I think it's about 4.5 hrs from fayetteville when you know where you're going. If possible, try to hook up with someone in the area to follow down or meet one of the ft smith guys. Usually, 10ish is about the time people meet at the falls for setting shuttle up to ed banks. I'm bummin' as I'm committed till tomorrow pm and the water may not be there or too low on sunday. Welcome to the state!

You need to get hooked up with team stupid. aka some of the nw ar boaters. ty
