I don't know about much about that one, but I've got an Olympus Stylus 1030 that I really like. It's 10 megapixels, and it is waterproof, shockproof, freezproof, and dustproof - and it takes great video and pictures. http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_secti ... tal_sw.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's small enough to tuck into my life jacket on the side, so I always have it ready. You can also get a float strap that comes in handy. http://www.ems.com/catalog/product_deta ... 4302490351" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I keep the camera hooked into a d-ring but the strap is short, so I like to unhook it and the floatie gives me peace of mind.

Not so good review:

I'd go with one of the other WP cams. Oh, wait, I did!

Until high-def camcorders come down in price, I'm pretty much sold on mini DV. I've been using two Sony MiniDV Handicams. I think that the video quality I get with them is much better than the results I get with my still-photo dedicated camera in movie mode. Although they are not waterproof, I have a nice little Pelican box attached to the floor of my canoe (one of the perks to being an open-boater
). I can usually just whip into an eddy, take it out and record. Have not drowned one yet, but I have had a couple of close calls.
The way that I see it: If you're going to go to the time & trouble to shoot photos and videos, you need to use the highest quality equipment you can afford. You don't want to get home and look at your results and realize you were in the right place at the right time, but the image quality is just not there.
Just a thought.
