I know somebody who needs a little help in learning a sweep roll. Anybody planning on being there that could help?

I am going to try to get my roll back after 9 years. What is the situation with having my two kids there? One is eleven and one is seven, both excellent swimmers. Can they swim while I work on my roll?

Hi Tim,

I plan to be there tonight, and I believe Cowper and Jeremy will, too. I've already got a couple people that I want to help tonight, but I would think one of us will be able to find some time to help out...

Hi Steve,

It might be better for Joe or Bob who are with UALR to respond, but my best guess at an answer is: while it should be fine for them to come along and try to use the pool, be aware that sometimes it can be quite crowded on Wed nights. The main set of lanes are being used for swim practice, and the few lanes in the area where we can boat are often filled. Depending on how many other people are just hanging out in the pool, it can be pretty crowded in the areas we have for the yaks. It seems to thin out the later it gets though...Not trying to be discouraging, but just giving a heads up that it's sometimes pretty zoo-like up there during the weeknights!

I think quite a few folks are planning to be there tonight...see y'all up there!

Cheers,
Heather aka Lupe

Actually Lupe summed it up pretty well. Alot of us have kids, so we understand completely the situation. I wouldn't think there would be an issue with them coming with you to swim. You guys would just have to be aware of other swimmers in the lanes or boaters practicing and or teaching in the other areas. It might be a small swim circle for the first part, but eventually would broaden I assume.
I am planning on trying to be there tonight as well..if the planets line up after all. =)
Peace,
Joe

I've known this guy my whole life. He's an open-boater flirting with the dark side.
Doubt he'll be there tonight, plans changed.

You mean crossing over from the dark side! I always like to think I am on the same side as master yoda.

Is anybody planning to go tonight (saturday)?

I'm pretty sure Saturday times are in the afternoon vs. night.

"Most" go on Wednesday, since Saturday provides opportunities to enjoy the "real" outdoors. Maybe someone else can answer that part of your question...

Hey ScoutDad -

I've got to get some things done around the house today, but I'm thinking I'll be wanting a break this afternoon! So I plan to be there - 2 to 5 are the times on Saturday.

Cheers,
H

Thanks Heather for letting me know what the times are for saturday.
We were headed for the "real" outdoors this morning but unforseen problems had me stuck at the house.

I'll be there...I've got to head to Little rock today anyway. Plus I want to try out the new boat.
Richard said he is gonna go too, so shouldn't be too empty today.
See ya there,
Joe
