And a thanks for taking and sharing the photos documenting just part of another sucessfull river clean up. I was not there, but I have been and will be for others, as has/will Mary. Those photos are valuable to show folks who were not there and have not been, how much our presence is needed on future cleanups and are a nice reward for those who did go for their memories.

We did some other cleaning up Saturday and were probably just as bone chilled and bone tired afterwards. That is something that the photos rarely get to show - how much wind there was, and how much it adds to your job on a day like that. Way to go everyone whoi came - you did great. We were thinking of y'all all day and wished were were there with you. It was very windy again to day, so much so, that despite the wonderful temperatures up in the 60's, we backed out of paddleing again to do more jobs on land. Even if I do not get karma points for jobs finished, the honey do list should be fewer to reduce the guilt load when I do eventually get to go paddleing.

92% of the trash I picked up were beer cans. Of that 95% was Busch, 2% Miller, 2% Bud, 1%.
To me, this begs the question; do lovers of quality microbrews litter?

yep. found a bunch of new belgium bottles in two campfires. kind of surprised on the lack of vienna sausage cans though, i'm afraid fast food has taken over and is going to ruin america's health

Great day in the Valley of Love (they showed why it is). Thanks to TB for organizing, the sponsors for donating, Rivertown BBQ for feeding, Dave for singing, us for cleaning, and the locals for loving (especially "The Mayor" for the "Apple Pie")!

it was our first clean up, and we had a great time!

there is what looks like an old water heater on the left bank, just above Camp Newell on the section between Big Eddy and Milton's Ford. it was filled with dirt, and we couldn't pack it out. i saved a waypoint if anyone is interested.
we might try again this saturday with better tools (to free the sediment from inside of there).
