You know you have had a good time with good people when you come back with smiles after paddleing in rain most of the previous day and then camping out in the rain. Great bunch of folks and a very pretty section of the Buffalo. Wouldn't mind doing this section again, but still looking forward to the ones I haven't seen yet.

Was nice to see Ken Smith again and hope he gets to see one of the blow logs I bring from home someday.

Thanks again to Richard and all the others on the trip, but particularly my bow partner. Mary should get all the credit for the 2 tires we brought back, as I would have waited for an official clean up trip the way i was feeling Saturday. She was the inspiration to do the right thing on this trip as well as being a great person to paddle with. Our whole group dug up and brought out six tires. Not bad for a "just paddleing" trip. We only left one that Mary saw, because there was a good sized tree growing up through it. It is a unique experience to carry a 10x20 tractor trailer tire in a canoe as it makes the 31x10.5 behind it look puny.. Thanks to all who helped get them up to the trash bins. They were HEAVY.

Flight leaves for Georgia in a few hours so will be off the MB for 2 weeks.

Eric

Karla, Doug was first to put in and first to go down with the ship a good two feet from shore, I managed to make it all the way to the other side of the river...you must take in to consideration the contributing factors- water three feet deep and calm with no cross-wind.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I was the first and last to swim on Saturday. Yes, a "twofer". Contributing factors: Cranial Posterior Inversion. :P

Wonderful time on the Buffalo! It's so nice to have been able to paddle with: Richard, Carl, Doug(KC), Painter Bob, Eric, Mary, Roger, John and Pam. It rained steady, warm, and the water was refreshing (intentionally swam)......The other guys that swam, well it's another experience :D

Canoe did great and YES Painter Bob I do think I'll be paddling that more often on the Buffalo!

Saturday night couldn't burn the blowlog that Richard and Roger hauled in! DARN, I'm with Mary next time after debate we should just burn it (just kidding Richard!)

See you all again.

PONCA to KYLE'S was GREAT on SUNDAY MORNING 'sunshine'- first time for me and met up with lots of paddlers. Hope Josh and Mika find their puppy, Abbey :( she'll probably come up.........Tim your dog Zappa is incredible! Great training! DanMO great meeting you. I'll probably paddle with you all again soon.....
Missouri Rivers sound fun. Thanks again Painter Bob and Jim for Shuttle. Almost lost those 3 canoes, hope your brace gets fixed.
See ya'll at the March ACC Meeting - I know a few beers were promised to me

Rain, rain, rain, rain,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,SYOTR!

We had a good time, at least I didnt swim. The over/under award goes to Doug from KC for swimming twice, with Carl as a runner up. The water was better than i expected and we avoided dragging excessively. On the ride home on saturday, I saw the War Eagle where it goes under AR 412, and it was out of its banks, so I was wondering if anyone tried to float it?
Richard, another bang-up job!
See you on the water!
