Galla is not really a destination run its typically more a consolation run when everything else had went off the charts high and you can't get off work early enough to make a hallmark destination creek like Richland, EFLB, Bobtail, Shop, Beech, etc. So you run Galla because it can be run fairly quickly and the shuttle is straight forward.
Galla has a lot to offer but it is very woody and A game is required when its up good.
But Galla drains out faster than any other creek in the region. Its on a plateau top, it is short and rests on bedrock geology for more of the run. You can have a direct hit on the creek with big rain and 6 hours later it'll be getting too low to run. It just doesn't hold very well.
So trying to plan a run ahead of a rain on Galla is like planning to roll 7's on both dice.
