Trees in DeRoche creek

Post by Greg Parker » Thu Apr 30, 2009 6:19 pm

Me and lifejacket just got through doing DeRoche creek it was a little low but had ample water in all but 1 rapid anyway in one rapid between I-30 and hwy 67 it was almost entirely blocked by trees not a big problem at this level but if it was really up it could be a serious hazard.

Greg when we left I went and checked the level It was between 1.5 and 2. As a side note we found an alternate put-in that had us starting at the culverts. The run took less than an hour and a half. I am going to do some checking on the road we used before I let anyone know, don't want it to become gated or blocked off.
