Bill Mason canoe videos online

Post by Eztouche » Thu Mar 26, 2009 5:12 am

Full length award winning canoe and Canadian wilderness videos the late Bill Mason are online. Scroll through them . Some are in English and some in French. Video and sound quality is very good.
The National Film Board of Canada has a large repository of films at their site

Mason died of liver cancer after 30+ years of wilderness paddling. I heard he owned 30 + canoes at his death.(the man had his priorities right)
His paddling style in that old chestnut prospector he paddled is pretty unique. His daughter teaches freestyle paddling. You can find her on the net.
Mason must half been a really fit guy. He was (like me) only about 5'6'-5'7"
and 145 # (unlike me at 165)

A big THANK YOU. He is the reason I went to Winona MN where I bought a prospector.
We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.
