Anyone out there make their own silk sleeping bag liner?
They want $50 for one of these , even online.
I have access to a sewing machine and want to make one, but my question is, is there more to these than meets the eye>?
I mean, it's a 72" wide 6'4" long, piece of silk sewn into a tapered ( mummy style) rectangle...right? Fold over the open end edge and sew it so it doesn't unravel.
Voila!
I might insert a draw-string into the open end so that I can cinch it down.
Please tell me that there is more to it than that.
Silk is only $4 a yard at Hobby Lobby.
Anyone have any other DIY ideas for ultralight backpacking?

I wanna leave this world the same way I came into it... naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood...
