Tuesday options

Post by Chester » Mon Oct 06, 2008 8:51 pm

From the new gauge, looks like Hot Springs Creek may be going (or blowing). Will check in the am and see what else is happening. Pouring down in Conway now.

Old Crow, it's here:> http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?07358284
and newly installed in the box culvert running under the Hwy bridge above the ball park and train trestle. We have not figured out yet it's ideal relationship to eyeballin the put yet, but 3ft ought to be a go I'd think, maybe low as two. We need some peeps in HS area to give us an eyeball at the putin and then we can reference the gauge.

Well, looks like HSC didn't make it, nor did Lil Mo.. Tot is up and ripping at 5+ ft, ( water hungry Scott called at 5:30am), but that's a litlte far for me today. But, it should be a Wed. option for you Laramy. So I'll watch the gauges some and may head up to to the Cadron later if it comes on up.

I need to follow up on some work things this morning, but if I get things cleared, I might be able to do something this afternoon...I'll check back or someone give me a shout if a late morning/early afternoon plan falls into place...

Later,
H

Fletcher called me with an eyeball on the creek. Between my videos, pics, and talking to Coogan, we believe a go is still about 1.5 on the new gauge. Not sure a .5 ft increase at the gauge means a .5 increase at the stones necessarily, but we'll get that down pat later and write all this up for Fish's page.
thanks for the look Fletcher
I could do the Cadron later today maybe too. But, I do plan on heading out somewhere tomorrow in the am.

Chester, if you'd like HS Cr. gauge on the gauge page, let me know what levels are min, opt, and high and I'll add it. Also can add a description of the creek if you like. Just go to the new creek form on the OWP.
