West Fork Watershed Community Input Meetings 6-26, 6-28,6-30

If you have a stake in the water quality of the West Fork of the White River, come out to a Watershed Community Meeting! Beaver Watershed Alliance needs your participation and feedback to get a better idea of the work that needs to take place in the West Fork White River to improve the river and Beaver Lake, the drinking water source for Northwest Arkansas, and to seek more resources to help out landowners, businesses, and municipalities!

A free meal will be provided - RSVP to Courtney at 750-8007 or courtney@beaverwatershedalliance.org. More info here http://www.beaverwatershedalliance.org/ ... letter.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you can't make the meeting at the West Fork Community Center tonight (6-26) then maybe you can make one of the other meetings such as this saturday the 28th at Brentwood, or June 30th in Fayetteville at St. Pauls Episcopal Church.

If you are curious how to make headway, with all stakeholders, in a watershed with serious water quality issues then this is your meeting.

Oh yes, don't forget to mention the low head dam at the pump station in Fayetteville. Removing it, is part of the rivers restoration and could make a new white water park in Fayetteville.
"The challenge goes on. There are other lands and rivers, other wilderness areas, to save and to share with all. I challenge you to step forward to protect and care for the wild places you love best"

- Neil Compton
