Santa brought me a new kayak

Post by Henry Gresham » Tue Dec 03, 2013 7:25 pm

After a few mild river trips in my Dagger Axis 10.5 crossover 'yak, and listening to snickers from whitewater 'yakers, I decided maybe a 2nd kayak was in order. I managed to find a very slightly used 2013 Dagger Mamba 8.6 creeker for a decent price, that is, well below what a new one would have set me back. The hulls on the Mamba creekers and the Mamba river runners seem to be identical; the big difference seems to be in better seating and more hull reinforcement. I'm in hopes it's a boat I can learn in, and then progress to my expected limit, ie, mostly Arky rivers. Hope to participate in the upcoming ACC pool roll sessions, then pray for rain.

For those of you that have patiently mentored me in recent floats, many thanks. Hope to see you on a river soon.

Congrats Henry. Your sure to love that boat. I believe it will be a great boat for you to learn and progress in and you will likely never reach its full capabilities. I look forward to the next river trip.
