Bill filed to protect the Buffalo River and other ERWs

Post by DeBo » Fri Apr 05, 2013 10:16 pm

House Bill 2252 has been filed at the legislature by Representative Greg Leding to prevent CAFOs in the watersheds of Extraordinary Resource Waters. Follow the link and click on the amended version at the bottom to see the bill. This bill will need a deluge of comments and support to stand any chance of passing. Let your representatives know how you feel.

Link to Greg's Twitter and Facebook pages. He is strongly supported in the Fayetteville area.
Also, this is a bipartisan bill. The Red Team and the Blue Team are talking to each other.
I'm sure Gov. Beebe would love to hear how we applaude such cooperation....ESPECIALLY on this issue.
Thanks.

Since Governor Pig-Poop Beebe refused to veto House Bill 1929 putting as much pressure as possible on him would be a good thing. Here is a direct link: http://governor.arkansas.gov/contact/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also I contact ALL Senators in Arkansas on this matter – even if I am not in their district I feel they need to know how strongly people feel about this. Here is a link for their contacts: http://www.arkansas.gov/senate/senators.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I am also encouraging all my family & friends from out of state to contact them as well. The first thing they want to do when they visit is go to the Buffalo – they also can raise their voice to help protect it.
