Meeting under the hwy 65 bridge (the take-out) north of Greenbrier. Leaving promptly at 10 for the put in.
We are putting in at my family's property, which is about 3 (river) miles above the campground. It makes it an 8-mile run, but since we've had so little paddling this season, we're looking forward to spending a day on the river.
Even at a leisurely pace, it takes no more than 4 hours. Shuttle is about 15 minutes one way. Should be a nice level -- hopefully about 3 ft.
Cadron Sat 11/19 under the bridge at 10 a.m.

If we are leaving at 10 am to the put in. Need to have everyone there by 9:30 to consolidate so no one gets left that might not know the put in. I know I don't remember how to get there.
So ready to paddle. Liz what is the lowest level to paddle without much scrapping.?

I won't paddle it under 2 feet, but some will down to 1.8. You start scraping below 1.5 feet.
At 2.5 to 3 feet, it should be perfect. Be sure your newbie has extra clothes or some way to warm up if he swims. Even with a wetsuit, it's a long paddle to be cold.

Yes, I spoke with him and told him how to dress. I will have a helmet for him and only thing he might want is a wetsuit. He bought my approach and another guys xp9. He paddled once on the Current River when we went up there.
