I really like the Dragover and can only guess the small spike was due to the rain we had on Thursday working it's way down there to the gauge The Ouachita, even in it's upper basin is large.. At 2.11ft. the Upper Ouachita is just floatable on the Dragover section so as not to drag the rapids. I think the gauge readings are probably correct. This is a good level for late fall fish-floating! We really like floating this stretch for both WW, and fishing/scenic floats. WW 5-3.25ft., 3.50-2.00ft. for fishing/scenic floats, etc. I know they overlap :)
I have many pictures of this stretch on high and lower floats but am limited to sending them as email attachments...
