Fishers Ford

Post by BMuu » Wed Oct 20, 2010 2:31 pm

I'm showing 2.8' and rising. Does anyone want to head to Fishers Ford today? I can leave in about an hour.

It sure would be nice to get on the water

Had a good time. There was a small hole that was fun to play in, nothing world class.

Water quality at this level is great too  crystal clear

Nothing world class? I don't know where you are from, but you had better tread lightly around here when talking about "The Ford".

I'm trying to keep it on the low down so we don't get over crowded :hammer:

Since none of the rain that I was promised ever showed up, I'm probably gonna head out to the ford sometime today. Anyone wanna meet up?

I have met the land owner and all he wants is to be treated decently. He has let me drive on his property down to the site. Years ago, he says that some paddlers cut some trees that were in the way and as the trees died out bank erosion occurred and he was po'ed. I wasn't there and really don't care what happened in the past, but if others would cultivate a good rapport with him, it would make it easier for more of us. So a word to wise, take cookies and good manners. Owners name is Steve Gardner- no relation but I parleyed the coincidence

Thanks Mike!

I have just been showing my respect by walking up the creek on river left when leaving.
