UALR POOL SESSIONS 8-25 & 8-28

On schedule.

I'm not sure if the heater in the pool is fixed or not, you might dress accordingly.

I'm sorry but I find the "warning" funny...It's an indoor pool. I hope to swing by and meet some locals. Since I just moved here from CO where all the rivers I've only been on are snow-melt.

Yes, the warning is funny but I hear that it is extremely cold in there because the heater is still broke and the A/C is running. I plan on going - guess I will bring cold water paddling gear

Joe - what is the parking situation? Last time I came, it seemed like there was no free parking. I used to park behind the garage and just walk through, but I think it is a pay lot now too. I just need a heads up - guess I could pay the $1 to park in the garage.

Renee - the meters don't need to be fed after 6pm, so if you are arriving at 5:50/5:55 or so there would be very little risk to park at a meter. Throw a coin in if worried, but I've never seen anyone ticketed, and if you don't arrive until after 6 then definitely no worries.

Yeah, the water is especially cold if you are just standing in the water helping someone with the a/c blowing down on you! Brrrr!

but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.

Renee, Heather is right. The meters are free at that time, however they might be full, as alot of students know this too.
If I end up going, I'm happy to open the gate for folks, and I'll usually post if I'm planning to go that night, etc. Cowper has a system that works too for the gate, at least he used to. The parking deck is the closest aside from the lots.

We have alot of new students this year, so you might have to wait a bit for a spot, but it might just be worth it.
