Re: Public Input on Regulation # 2 - Make your views known !
Triennial reviews happen every three years! So after this one version moves on toward approval or disapproval by the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission, it will be time for thinking about the next review. Bear Creek Searcy County
Has anyone floated Bear Creek down to the Buffalo? I have been told locals fish it but there may be problems with fences.
I am also interested in whether you can shuttle by leaving a car near its confluence with the Buffalo or if it is better continue to Maumee. Or maybe portage back to Gilbert by ...

Re: Old Map of Bayou deView, Cache and White
I like maps and am glad you appreciated this one. The park is very small, basically one large room. It is a resource for school kids in the area and they do not seem to have the volunteer support of a Pinnacle.

Old Map of Bayou deView, Cache and White
The Lower White River State Park at Des Arc has a 1900 map of streams, trails and tramways in the area where the White, Cache and Bayou deView converge.
Some things have changed but they suggest possible paddling trips, canoe trails from one river to the other.

Sergei Makogonov had videos of taking catarafts down Siberian whitewater. Much more than class II!
So you deflate the pontoons and have a bag to put the parts in? Any way to carry a grandkid?

Re: upper spadra creek waterfall
The Arkansas Waterfalls Guidebook by Tim Ernst has three Spadra Creek waterfalls on page 132 = Spainhour 16 feet, Lucy 17 ft, and Aspen 37 feet. He shows parking on county road 4430 and a long 7.2 roundtrip hike or continuing on FR 1422a, which crosses the creek 6 times and is therefore pretty wet ...

Re: Public Comments on Kayaking Lake Maumelle
I attended the meeting and liked the general direction of making the area around Lake Maumelle into a wildlife management area. They plan to work with Game and Fish and conservation organizations to manage the land and waters to preserve good drinking water and get more folks with an interest in ...

Public Comments on Kayaking Lake Maumelle
The ArkDemGaz has a notice on page 3B of a Meeting at 10 am Thursday at their offices at 221 E. Capital, LR. One of the topics open for comments is kayaking on Lake Maumelle near the Highway 10 bridge. That may be a prelude to discussions of paddling trails on the Big Maumelle above the lake.

Great Plains Rivers
Has anyone paddled on some of the rivers in the great plains, like the Upper Missouri in Montana or the Niobrara in Nebraska? If so, how was the trip?
